What Party?

Just seen this item from BBC Scotland Swinging MSP .   Nowhere, as far as I can see is his party mentioned.  I had to assume that he could not have been a Conservative as the heading on the BBC article would have shouted "Tory MSP..." or at the very least "Conservative sleaze".  Now I'm not particularly interested in this story, which is about vice and perjury, but I know how differently it would have been slanted if this MSP had been from the right, and how it would have been the main item on BBC News for the best part of a week if he had.  I checked elsewhere and he's apparently a Socialist MSP.
